NIGHTTIME BEAUTY ROUTINE

NIGHTTIME BEAUTY ROUTINE

I've had a lot of questions about my beauty routine, so I thought it was time to write up a post on some of my favorites! Honestly I don't have perfect skin. I still get horrible breakouts and it's taken me a long time to find my perfect beauty routine. But my perfect routine won't necessarily be yours, so I'm going go through each product and explain why I love it and what it does for my skin. And hopefully it can be helpful!

I'm going to start pretty simple. I've been using Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap for about a year now and I use it every night as my cleanser! It takes off all of my makeup and is perfect for my sensitive skin. No synthetic preservatives, no foaming agents. And it smells amazing. You can also use it for just about everything... face, hair, body, dishes, laundry, mopping, literally everything.

If you want to be using a product that can only be used as a cleanser, I LOVE the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex. It does the job, but is still gentle, great for sensitive skin, and can be used daily.

After cleansing, I will move on to an exfoliator. I tend to stay with more gentle ones, so that I don't irritate my skin too much. I've recently started using the Cane + Austin Retexturizing Treatment Scrub which can be used on face and body! It leaves my skin SO soft every time. 10% glycolic acid refines pores and 0.5% salicylic acid helps to maintain a clear complexion. If you're looking for something more natural, I also love June Jacobs Perfect Pumpkin Enzyme Polish.

After exfoliating, I usually move on to a mask. I've recently become obsessed with masks and do one almost every night. One of my favorites is the Dior Hydra Life Extra Plump Smooth Balm Mask. It's super lightweight and you only keep it on for three minutes! It has white pine oil which comforts + soothes. My skin is always brighter and smoother after this mask.

Another favorite is Erno Laszlo sleep mask! This is one that you keep on overnight to let it really set in and moisturize. I usually do this one once winter starts, or after a flight when my skin is in need of a lot of moisture. And I always wake up with glowing skin!

For a purifying mask, I love the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask. A purifying, decongesting and hydrating facial mask. Helps draw out dirt and oil!

After the mask, I use another Cane + Austin product. The Retexture Pads have completely changed my skin. The description says "One-step 10% glycolic treatment gently exfoliates and retextures skin, while helping to rebuild collagen. Visibly helps reduce appearance of wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation, firms skin, and improves tone and texture." And it has 100% done all of those things in such a short time. I use one in the morning and one at night.

While I'm waiting for the Retexture Pads to work their magic, I use my favorite lip polish. Which just helps get all of the dead skin off and brings back my natural lip color.

I then move on to moisturizers + serums. I start with Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer. I was really intrigued with the fact that it was a gel moisturizer because I was noticing that my cream moisturizers kept clogging my pores. This product is great for all skin types, 100% plant derived, and has left my skin glowing and never dry. I was so impressed with their moisturizer, that I went back to buy the Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel. I have horrible dark circles and usually really puffy eyes when I wake up. This product is a miracle worker! It has given moisture back under my eyes, so my makeup no longer creases, it completely takes away any puffiness, and has definitely decreased the appearance of my dark circles.

That pretty much sums up my routine! I've been extremely dedicated with doing this every single night and it has made such a difference in my skin! If you have any questions please leave them in the comments on this post!
